Sudden Panic Whilst Traveling Up the Eiffel Tower
Why was she experiencing a panic attack? Did she suddenly develop a fear of heights?
Below is Nicky’s personal account of how she used EFT to overcome her panic within minutes and was able to go to the top of the tower and take pictures
When you are suddenly experience a panic attack whilst going high up, it is quite natural to assume that the fear is that of heights, but as in Nicky’s case it was something entirely different. This story always makes me laugh. As you read it, please note how her husband tried to distract her from her panic by pointing out the building looked like it was about to fall down!
Please note also, how her husband said that they really should go to the top since they’d paid whilst she was still in the throes of her panic. Ah well, don’t want to waste the admission price.
Nicky’s Story
“I started to feel nervous, and as we reached the first floor, I was dizzy, my legs were trembling… (after treatment) … the experience was fantastic, and to think without EFT, I could have missed it!”
My husband treated us to a romantic holiday in Paris, and our first stop just had to be the Eiffel Tower. He got our tickets, and after a short queue we got in the lift that took us up one of the ‘legs’ to the second floor. We positioned ourselves next to the glass window in order to get the best view, As the lift started to move, however, I started to feel nervous, and as we reached the first floor, I was dizzy, my legs were trembling, and I shoved my husband out of the way to get to the middle of the lift so I couldn’t see anything. Having used EFT. successfully on a number of problems I started working on a fear of heights, and was surprised when I was not feeling any better. The lift stopped at the second floor where many people were wandering round the balconies admiring the view, and I was stood as near the middle as possible feeling dreadful. The lift to the top floor went up the centre of the tower and much further up than we had already come. My husband insisted that we had to go up, or I would always regret it. Fortunately, there was a queue, and in the time we were waiting, he was looking around, and pointed out all the work that was going on to treat the metal to prevent it rusting and disintegrating. I nearly fainted with the thought and knew he had hit target. I treated myself while in the queue for the tower collapsing, yes, I know it’s illogical!) and when we got to the very top, out came the camera and I was leaning out as far as I could to take photos of the incredible views. The weather was glorious, and I will never forget the sheer beauty of Paris laid out before us. We stopped off at the second floor again on the way back down and used up nearly a full roll of film. The experience was fantastic, and to think, without EFT. I could have missed it!

How Does EFT Work?

EFT works by simply collapsing down the energy imbalance/ signature created by the problem state. The problem state is the negative emotions that Nicky was experiencing whilst traveling up in the lift. Without this imbalance, Nicky felt totally composed and relaxed.
By putting her attention on the thought of the tower collapsing, she was directly in contact with the energy signature for that thought and the imbalance it created within her mind/ body system. EFT then simply neutralised this signature/ imbalance. She can still think the thought, the tower is going to collapse, but now the emotional imbalance is no longer there, so there is no emotional attachment to the thought. It is just a thought of a possibility; which logic tells her presents no danger to herself.
EFT is an incredibly simple, yet advanced form of acupressure. It is classed as an Energy Psychology technique because it works via the energy system on emotional issues, such as panic attacks and phobias.
