Dealing with Shoulder Pain with EFT
Many people suffer from shoulder and pain issues. Although some people recover, others are left with debilitating pain and restriction in movement.
EFT, Emotional Freedom Techniques is often referred to as a psychological form of acupressure. That description almost infers that it is only used for psychological problems. It isn’t. It is used with all types of issues, including pain and physical problems.
In this video, you will see a demonstration of me working with a volunteer who has pain and restricted movement in her shoulder. This recording is from one of my online EFT Practitioner Training Courses.
The volunteer had damaged her shoulder about five years before attending the EFT course. She had had an accident whilst on the beach. The damage to her shoulder was severe. After the accident, the volunteer had been able to get some movement back in her arm and shoulder. To get the movement partially back had required surgery and physiotherapy. At the start of the demonstration, she moved her arm just above shoulder height, at which point it locked. The problem had been this way for a substantial period. Her doctors said to get further improvement; she needed more surgery.

In the demonstration, you will see set up a feedback system to monitor progress throughout the session. Then I guide the volunteer through three rounds of the EFT approach, Chase the Pain. Between each round of EFT, the problem is re-evaluated and re-targeted. Three rounds of EFT take approximately 2-3 minutes (tapping). After three rounds of EFT, the volunteer showed massive improvement in the range of movement of her arm and shoulder. Emotions then flooded to the surface, which required further tapping to help bring her back to balance. That was not surprising because when we experience a life-limiting injury, it can have a tremendous impact on us emotionally.
In the days following this session, the volunteer reported that the improvements stayed. She was able to do things that she hadn’t been able to do for years.
